Three New Rugged Hybrid Stepping Motors From Sterling |

Three new rugged 1.8° full-step angle hybrid stepping motors introduced by Sterling Instrument (An ISO 9001:2000+AS9100B Manufacturer) are designed for use in robotics, production line automation machinery and other instrumentation applications. The three motors, identified as the S9134M- can be specified with either single or double 0.375" (9.525 mm) diameter hardened steel shafts. These 3.38" (85.8mm) diameter motors are 2.5"-5.1" (63.5 mm - 129.5 mm) long. Phase current ratings for each of these 8 lead motors in unipolar operation is 3.42, 5.00 and 5.90 amps and in parallel operation the phase current is 4.84, 7.07 and 8.34 amps. These steppers are capable of running either clockwise or counterclockwise depending on the input. The rotor inertia is 3.66, 6.72 and 10.2 oz. in2. The phase inductance for each motor in unipolar operation is 2.5, 2.9 and 2.6 mH. The phase resistance for each motor in unipolar operation is .6, .5 and .4 ohms. Applied voltage tests for these hybrid motors are made in accordance with IEC 335-1 standards. List prices start at $157.22 for single shaft and $161.59 for double shaft with substantial quantity discounts offered.
