An expanded line of 781 off-the-shelf rigid and flexible small couplings are making it easier than ever for engineers and specifiers to spend their time designing rather than looking for hard-to-find parts. The couplings, introduced by Stock Drive Products (An ISO 9001:2000 Manufacturer) (commercial tolerances) and Sterling Instrument (An ISO 9001:2000+AS9100B Manufacturer) (precision tolerances) comprise 29 different types and include: Oldham Couplings, Geargrip Couplings, Sleeve Couplings, Jaw Couplings, Spider,"K" Couplings, Schmidt Couplings, Helical Couplings, Miniature Ball Couplings, Offset Extension plus a wide selection of Bellows Couplings types. Bores are designed to be fastened to shafts either by pinning, with set screws or with clamps. Of special interest is the patented Fairloc® Series of bellows couplings which employs a transverse wedge to create a cantilevered clamping section which can be easily repositioned on the shaft. Bore diameters range from .125" to .625". These couplings are stocked in the following 16 materials to better respond to specific applications: acetal, aluminum, brass, bronze, Delrin, nickel, nylon, 303 stainless steel 17-4PH stainless steel, 1095 steel neoprene, polyurethane, polyethylene, sintered iron, rubber and molded fiberglass. Detailed specifications are contained in SDP/SI Catalogs D805 (Metric) and Catalog D810 (Inch), both available free upon request. SDP3 15 |
